Greetings!

My name is Brianna Fernsby, and I welcome you to Bullets and Octane!

Bullets and Octane, or B&O as I refer to it, is my little experiment with the internet. Like Memory Alpha One from Star Trek, this website is a compendium of articles and posts about the sciences. We cover everything from cutting edge innovations in the field of deep physics to simple household experiments. Anything that requires science (which in the modern world is pretty much everything), is what I want to cover in my blogs!

Blog – Categories

Typically people like to break down science into three categories – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. However, at B&O, we like to think of sciences in a more metaphysical way. There’s the science outside, the science within, and the science anew. Each covers a different aspect of the scientific method, one post at a time.

World of Science

You can find posts about the science of outdoors here. Subjects such as astronomy, geology, zoology, and so on. The sciences of gardening, travel, time and more are what you can find in the World of Science.

Science of Body

The Science of Body deals with human anatomy and beyond. The biological, biochemical, and mechanical processes of the human body are always relevant, and you can find the posts here from the physical to the physiological.

Science & Innovation

This section is dedicated to the future of sciences. Science is constantly evolving, stepping on the shoulders of its predecessors. You can find the latest innovations in technology and the latest scientific discoveries here.

Science Quotes

“Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.” – Carl Sagan

“In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual.” – Galileo Galilei
